Health & Safety
At SCCI we believe that Health and Safety is important and our team has grown significantly
to ensure that we as a responsible employer ensure that everyone at work must be
safe from injury or harm.
To show our commitment to Health and Safety we have appointed Mr Robert Wickings
as the Director Responsible for Safety who has completed the IOSH Managing Safety
Course, supported by Mr Paul Gattuso as the Group Health and Safety Manager who
is NEBOSH Diploma Qualified and belongs to various institutions with over eleven
years experience in this field.
SCC International belongs to various Health and Safety accreditation bodies including:
- CHAS
- EXOR
- CONSTRUCTION LINE
- SAFE CONTRACTOR
The Group Health and Safety Manager is supported by two Health and Safety Officers
in the field and general office administrators.
We have a leading edge Health & Safety department that assists and advises our operational
teams in developing and implementing best practice.
That means not just having sites that operate to the highest safety standards but
also implementing a continuous Health & Safety awareness and education programme.
This includes all Project Managers attending an IOSH Supervising Safety Course and
Senior Management passing a NEBOSH Certification course, this is an ongoing programme
that is gaining momentum.
Every employee has a personal training record and takes part in an on-going comprehensive
Health & Safety training programme.
Our audit systems allows us to make a detailed analysis of both our site-specific
and company-wide health and safety performance which allows us to easily identify
where improvements may be needed and to help share best practice throughout our
group of companies.
