Woking - Large IRS Upgrade Programmes Via Lease/Rental
Switchsure Finance Ltd, was set up within the SCCi Group of companies in 2007/8 to provide funding options to landlords who recognised that they needed to upgrade their TV systems but didn’t have the required capital to complete the installation programme. At the time, there were very few funding options available to landlords who didn’t have the capital to spend on digital TV upgrade programmes, particularly with many other Capital spend requirements associated with the Decent Homes programme.
Whitbread Case Study
SCC International and its Digital Solutions Department are currently working for The UK’s Leading Hospitality Company Whitbread. Their requirement is to bring each of their TV Systems into the Digital Age for all of their Premier Inn’s, Beefeater’s and Brewers Fayre’s Public Houses.
The Barbican Estate, City of London
The Challenge
2,220 upmarket flats built in the early 60s. Built in concrete, the estate consists of 3 main tower blocks each with 43 floors and 19 low rise blocks built over 38 acres in the City of London.

Since 2004 Wandsworth have been in the process of upgrading their communal aerial to IRS specification. The borough made the choice to go with the 9 wire system to give maximum choice for their residents

The Challenge
To upgrade all four UK CenterParcs TV systems ready for the Digital Switchover with the addition of subtitled and radio channels to the existing channel line up. Throughout the installation programme the existing system had to be kept operational with no down time to the end user.
